"HOLES" has been developing since 2005 until 2012. During seven years I was spotted and captured by “holes” – architectonic vacant lots in the city; firstly it was in Bratislava, later in other cities (Budapest, Novi Sad). When capturing these places I was interested in the historical as well as sociological memory of the city’s place and the following transformation of its function. I was interested in the historical as well as sociological memory of the city. In the scenery of the city I was attracted by the deficit space – what misses, what disappeared temporarily; value of the emptiness, nothingness, not only semantic one, but also the purely visual.
"HOLES" are part of permanent collection of City Gallery in Nitra Slovakia. For past years they were presented at many solo and group shows in Slovakia and abroad.
